The town of Morshyn (Lviv region) is located among Carpathian national forests 340 m above the sea level. It is environmentally pure area where the nature preserved the best water for human.
The written memoirs of extraordinary properties of Morshyn natural sources date back to the 15th century.
People call this source "By Virgin Mary".
The source "by Virgin Mary" from which self-flows Morshinska water was opened at the end of the 19th century, the first researches of local mineral natural table waters were carried out during the epoch of Austrian and Hungarian empire. In 1879 the source was developed by former major of Morshyn Boniface Stiller.
The history of famous source is surrounded with stories and legends confirming the uniqueness of origin of this water and its properties. According to the legend, the children playing by the source saw the image of Virgin Mary which offered them to drink some water from the source. Since then the source is called "by Virgin Mary".
In 1995 there was established Oskar Morshyn mineral water plant which started bottling of natural table mineral water Morshinska for the consumers all over Ukraine.
